וַיִּבֶן֩ אֶת־קִיר֨וֹת הַבַּ֤יִת מִבַּ֙יְתָה֙ בְּצַלְע֣וֹת אֲרָזִ֔ים מִקַּרְקַ֤ע הַבַּ֙יִת֙ עַד־קִיר֣וֹת הַסִּפֻּ֔ן צִפָּ֥ה עֵ֖ץ מִבָּ֑יִת וַיְצַ֛ף אֶת־קַרְקַ֥ע הַבַּ֖יִת בְּצַלְע֥וֹת בְּרוֹשִֽׁים׃
At itinayo niya ang mga pader ng bahay sa loob nito sa pamamagitan ng mga tablang sedro; mula sa sahig ng bahay hanggang sa mga pader na umaabot sa kisame ay binalutan niya ng kahoy ang loob; at binalutan niya ang sahig ng bahay ng mga tablang sipres.

With panels of cedar. Boards of cedar against the stone wall in order to coat it with gold, as it states below, “And Shlomo covered the inside of the Beis Hamikdosh with refined gold,”24Below, v. 21. and it is impossible to coat gold on top of the stones, without wood and nails.
